Framing reality with photos

Now that it's been leaked that Obama is choosing Hillary Clinton to be his Secretary of State, all the newspapers (eg the NYT) have these photos of Obama and Clinton smiling together and at each other.  This is amusing because they haven't officially announced it yet, so all these photos are photos from the Democratic primary, back when they were bitter rivals.  Basically, those pictures didn't fit the story back then since reporters were looking for the acrimonious "bitter rival" pictures, so they were archived.  Now those photos tell the story the reporters want to tell.
