Very organic food.

frogpyjamas gets a box of food weekly from a local farming co-op.  Naturally, it's all organic. 

It's perhaps a little too organic.

After I was done being grossed out, I had a little mental perspective frame-shift, and realized "Oh... this is like a nice way of certifying that the food's really organic.  Obviously if it wasn't organic, Mr Caterpillar would be dead."  Look, it's part of the food ecosystem... the caterpillar moves the energy up a trophic level, turning the corn into more caterpillar... I'll just step in here and take over where the little guy left off, and I'll make the corn into more me instead. 

I imagine the growers inserting a small caterpillar into each ear of corn on the assembly line.  Guaranteed Organic By Mr Caterpillar.  No pesticides here!  He's my royal food taster.

OK, it's still gross.

My mom found a live mouse in a head of organic lettuce. As soon as she was peeling away the leaves, it jumped out and skittered across her kitchen floor.
