My laptop arrived yesterday. I'm switching from a desktop to a laptop as my primary computer. While my old computer has a 1000GB hard drive, my new one has a 320GB one. Apple charges a frighteningly inflated amount for a slightly larger (500GB) drive.
I currently have around 800GB of data, only 100GB of which is movies and music made by other people. I seem to have generated a lot of content myself.
I could go the route of figuring out the most important ~250GB of my data and putting that on my laptop, with the rest stored on an external drive. Or I could upgrade (for only $100, it appears) to a 1000GB drive in the laptop and just copy everything over. Is there any reason that I should not just upgrade the drive in my laptop?
