Urban exploration
Feb. 12th, 2008 11:11 pmOn Sunday night, a friend and I explored the abandoned remains of a massive building complex in an undisclosed location in the east bay. We explored at night, which provided some added cover and spookiness, and made the environment interesting for photography.
Here are the results:
Although the factory was decayed and rusting, not all the machinery was defunct:

We got lost and had a hard time finding our way out. The lack of clear signage didn't help.

Along the way, we took some nice long exposures without a flash, to interesting results. This came out of my point-and-shoot:


It seems that the rust and decay turns everything into interesting imagery:
