[travel] Waiting for things to line up...

There will be a total solar eclipse on July 22 of this year. At 6 minutes, it will be the longest one we'll get until after 2100. The next total eclipses of any length in the US will be in 2017 and 2024. ( http://strangemaps.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/eclipsemap.jpg )
While most of us have already seen videos of eclipses, people who've seen one live say that it was one of the top experiences of their life.
I already know I'll have that line from Paint it Black stuck in my head the entire time, but it will still be truly stunning.
So I'm thinking of going out to Shanghai shortly after I get back home, and hey, if I'm in Shanghai I can hop over to Nepal (cheap short flight) and check it out for a few days.

A few years back I met a woman at the X-Prize rocket launch, and we dated for the next 1 1/2 years.
