VHS tapes for sale at Fry's.  They've stopped making them, so once everyone's inventories are gone, they will become rare items.

The best xmas gift I got was a USB device that converts VHS tapes into DVD's. I asked for something vaguely like that, but didn't know if it actually existed... turns out it does and it works well!

I'm hoping to throw away all my VHS tapes as soon as I get them converted. The only annoying thing is, it takes the full 2 hours or however long it would take to watch the tape, to convert it.

Re the 2 hour things: Presumably the movie is not worth 2 hours of converting, it's not worth 2 hours of playing. :-)

Did you mean to have an "If" after the presumably? (Presumably you're not saying that no movie is worth 2 hours of converting or playing...)

So far I have just been converting home movies that I have made. Many of the commercial ones will not be worth it, as I could just download them from bittorrent now... hmmm, I guess technically the download also takes more than 2 hours usually, but for some reason it seems like less of a pain, I guess because you just queue them all up at once, and wait a week and they're done.

Yeah... meant to say "if"!
