B vits are water soluble, so they deplete pretty fast compared to fat-soluble -- but the only one I know for sure is B12 takes 'bout 2 years before you're so low you experience the sort of problems that plague vegetarians who aren't animal enough to eat their own excrement. ;) But I stop having the psychedelic dreams within a week or two of stopping my B vits.

My favorite cal-mag supplement is Cal-Mag Fizz. One scoop with dinner is a good starting dose of 500 cal and 250 mag. No one can agree as to how much calcium we need daily, and the correct ratio varies too. All they know is it's best to take small doses. For the latest greatest info I refer to www.acu-cell.com.

Serum Cholesterol will vary greatly based on what you eat and your diet overall -- for a day or so. Fasting, or at least watching your fats and sugars, gives you a better baseline. Since I'm constantly having blood tests done I had a lot of fun experimenting with this, and I think Udo Erasmus and Weston A. Price have it right--although Price puts down granulated lecithin. Anyway, after eating a large bowl of homemade buttered popcorn (at least half a cup of butter, hoo yeah!) my TC soared to 380, scaring my doctor silly. But when I'm on my best diet, which still includes butter but also lecithin supplementation and no sugar apart from fruit, it stays pretty steady at 170 with perfect ratios. I've cured many people of elevated cholesterol simply by prescribing magnesium, medium-chain fatty acids, etc. :)
