[travel] Current itinerary

Here's my current itinerary... I've squeezed out the details so it's more compact.  If any of you are interested in meeting me in April-May for some adventures, let me know!  It's easier than you think to get there.  Thanks to dramatically falling demand and falling gas prices, plane tickets are as cheap as they were back in 1998 when I went to Europe at the end of high school.

Jan 30	3	Singapore	Stay with S’s family
Feb 2	18	Vietnam & Ankgor Wat (Cambodia)	Explore Mekong delta with T, fly to Ankgor Wat and check it out for a couple of days, then spend 15 days working our way up Vietnam to Hanoi and Halong Bay, seeing lots of goodies on the way (Dalat, Nha Trang, Hoi An, Hue, My Tho, Vinh Long etc).
Feb 20	10	Thailand	Alone. 4 days in Bangkok and environs (Lop Buri and other day trips), 6 in Chiang Mai and environs
Mar 2	6	India (Mumbai and environs)	Alone. Check out Mumbai and do a couple-of-day trip out to see Ajanta and Ellora.
Mar 8	3	Dubai	Alone, but may rendezvous with a friend-of-a-friend. See architectural sights. May go on day trip out to desert.
Mar 11		FIXED DATE – MEET IN TURKEY
Mar 11	7	Turkey	With A & D. Explore Istanbul, environs of Izmir, and Kayaseri
Mar 18	10(?)	Israel & Jordan	With A&D for first part, then alone. Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Dead Sea, Eilat, Petra, Wadi Rum (?)
Mar 28	8(?)	Egypt	Alone. Explore Cairo and Egyptian ruins.
		(Here we start to enter the much-less-planned portion of the trip... I may conceivably work my way east again instead if I really liked SE Asia)
Apr 6 (?)	6(?)	Greece	Alone. Athens + island hopping.
Apr 12 (?)	18(?)	Eastern Europe: Croatia, Hungary, Czech Rep, Bulgaria (?), Romania (?), Poland (?)	Currently alone. Specific plans need much more research. Will buy train tickets piecemeal… they’re cheap anyway.
May 1 (?)	18 (?)	Northern Europe: Germany (Berlin), Holland, Denmark, Norway(?), Sweden(?), Finland(?)	Will visit L at some point in Holland, but otherwise alone. Will buy Eurail pass.
May 19		Fly back to US	Maybe stop in NY, DC, or Boston and say hi to people.
