California Proposition 2, which provides for adequate space for farm animals to stretch their limbs and turn around, is widely expected to pass.
California Proposition 8, which prevents new gay marriages and dissolves all the existing ones,  is likely to pass, albeit by a slim margin.

This means that there's a sizable contingent of people who are voting yes on both 2 and 8.  Who are these people?  I want to know what goes on in their brains to allow for such uneven compassion.  "Oh, we must do something about those poor farm animals, but I don't want those gay people to marry the ones they love, that's just sick."

During my freshman year of college I took maybe 150 pictures.  The year I graduated (and the first year I had a digital camera) I took about 1000 pictures, plus videos and whatnot.  By the mid-2000s, people began the habit of posting photos to flickr, facebook, and other locations, and identifying the names of all the people in the photo.  Ten years form now, this whole "identifying people in a picture" thing will be largely automated, and you'll be able to query the internet for all pictures of a person.  I'm guessing that the politicians of my generation will have to get used to much more compromising pictures of them becoming available online.

Oh, and apparently that shirt cost $150,000.  :-)
